The Company
In April 1991 a small report was published in the daily newspaper EXPANSION, where reference was made to the approval of the constitution of a new branch for the public holding INI in the cabinet meeting. The new company by the name of Spanish Depot Service, S.A., is owned one hundred percent by the ship owner (Cia Transatlantica Espanola S.A.), with a capital of ten million pesetas.

The article continues with a small reference to the future.

This was the beginning of Spanish Depot Service S.A., but the company had started a few months earlier, due to the necessity of complying with the agreement of container security, principally as far as periodic inspections were concerned. The company required a place where the containers they owned and had under lease could be inspected and repaired in accordance with the technical criteria necessary to guarantee safe transport, and in line with the international agreement of security.
